Ubuntu Natty Release Party in Kitchener-Waterloo on Saturday, 30 April 2011
It is almost the time again. Less than on week left for the newest Ubuntu release. As every year, lots of work has been put into the release. Not only directly by the Ubuntu community, but also by the Debian community and all the upstream projects.
After all this work, it will be time to celebrate the fruits of the work that has been achieved. In the Ubuntu community we traditionally do this by having release parties all over the world. The official Ubuntu Loco in Canada also participates with several such parties in Ontario and Quebec.
So.. take a break from the so far boring election in Canada (though it seems the last week might promise some more excitement despite of any choice of real issues), and come and visit one of the Ubuntu release parties and socialize with the Ubuntu community.
In Kitchener Waterloo, we will have free (as freedom and beer) software and cake. We will have a local mirror of the natty release to allow convenient and fast upgrades and installs. Technical support in case of problems will also be available. I believe there might even be a LAN-party with some friendly competition playing FLOSS games.
Therefore, please take a little time out of your busy schedule and visit us from 2pm in the Kwartzlab
